Getting your documents notarized online with Ursula Merrifield is quick, secure, and completed entirely from the comfort of your home or office. Here is how the step-by-step process works from start to finish:

What You’ll Need Before You Begin

To ensure a smooth session, please make sure you have:

Valid Government Photo ID (U.S. Driver's License, State ID, or Passport).
Social Security Number (used solely to generate your security questions for identity verification).
Supported Device (A smartphone, tablet, or computer equipped with a working camera, microphone, and stable internet access).
Unsigned Documents (Do not sign your document ahead of time—all signatures must be witnessed live during the video call).

Step 1: Prepare Your Documents & Schedule

Click the "Schedule Online Notarization" button to start your session. You’ll be asked to upload your unsigned document(s) and enter basic contact information for all signers.

Step 2: Verify Your Identity

Before we meet on video, you will complete a quick identity check required by state law:

ID Check: Take a quick photo of your valid, unexpired driver’s license, state ID, or passport using your phone or webcam.
Knowledge Check: Answer a few security questions to confirm your identity (Knowledge-Based Authentication).

Step 3: Join the Live Video Call

Once your identity is verified, you’ll be prompted to join a secure live video call with Ursula.

We will meet face-to-face, review your document together, and confirm you are signing voluntarily.
You will apply your electronic signature on-screen during the call.

Step 4: Finalization & Immediate Download

Ursula will review, apply her official electronic seal and signature, and close the session. As soon as the call ends, your legally binding, tamper-evident notarized document is immediately available for download.
